Same day rehab admission in Texas follows administrator acceptance after screening

A prospective voluntary patient may not be formally accepted for chemical dependency treatment in a treatment facility unless the facility's administrator or a person designated by the administrator has agreed to accept the prospective patient and has signed a statement to that effect. Health and Safety Code Section 462.025 names that signed agreement. Admission means the formal acceptance of a prospective patient to a treatment facility. Same day rehab admission in Texas waits on that signature.
Can a person get into rehab the same day
Contact the substance use treatment program directly, the local Outreach, Screening, Assessment, Referral Service, or the Local Mental or Local Behavioral Health Authority.
Walk in rehab admission
To be eligible for admission to a treatment program, an individual must meet the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) criteria for substance use disorders (or substance withdrawal or intoxication in the case of a detoxification program). 26 TAC 564.801. For admission to all other treatment programs, the screening will be conducted by a counselor or counselor intern.
Same day detox and admission
For admission to a detoxification program, the screening will be conducted by a physician, the physician's designee, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, or licensed vocational nurse. The physician or the physician's designee shall examine the client in person and sign the admission order within 24 hours of authorizing admission.
Same day admission drug rehab
If in the reasonable clinical judgment of the medical director a particular patient would not benefit from treatment with a narcotic drug, the patient may be refused such treatment even if the patient meets the admission standards. 26 TAC 563.148.
Same day intake rehab
