Outpatient treatment services for substance use disorders are provided in a community-based setting at a licensed treatment center. Treatment includes counseling, case management, education, and recovery skills training. Outpatient treatment does not require people to stay at a facility. People in outpatient treatment develop the skills to start and continue their recovery process while continuing to live and work in their community. Texas residents 18 years of age and older; person is diagnosed with a substance use disorder. Eligibility for state financial support is based on income, expenses, and other resources. Naltrexone is used in medication-assisted treatment services to treat both opioid and alcohol use disorders.
